We’re searching for a hardworking Legal Intern to join our dynamic team!As an intern on the Marvel legal team you will be working with in-house attorneys on groundbreaking entertainment, corporate, and intellectual property matters reporting to Associate Principal Counsel.What You Will DoAs an intern, you’ll be involved in a variety of exciting projects that will challenge and develop your skillset.Above-the-line and below-the-line agreements and various legal documents for feature films, streaming series, and animated productionsAnalyze various intellectual property rights, matters and clearance issues involving Marvel assetsAssist the legal team with production-related matters across live action feature films and streaming shows and animated projectsReview, update, and prepare form agreementsRequired Qualifications & SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsRelevant coursework in entertainment law, copyrights, trademark, intellectual property and/or negation theory/strategyShown ability to take initiative and multitask in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projectsExperience with researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findingsA detailed-oriented approach, especially when processing a large volume of documentsCollaborative teammate who can also work independentlyDemonstrate a high degree of discretion regarding sensitive/confidential informationPreferred QualificationsPrevious internship or work experience in the entertainment industry or law firmEducationMust be enrolled in an accredited law school taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship programCompletion of one or more years of law school in a current JD program at the start of the internshipEligibility Requirements & Program InformationCandidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:Be at least 18 years of ageHave not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.Possess unrestricted work authorizationAdditional InformationThe approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025Able to work 20 hrs per week, Monday through Friday, 9am – 6pm PSTThis internship is a remote position and requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace The pay rate for this remote role is $41.40 per hour.
