As an Intern, you’ll begin making an impact on real projects from day one! Come prepared to grow, develop, and learn alongside a team and the leaders of our company. The Iridium Internship program is a 12-week program that runs from May 27, 2025 to August 15, 2025. During the program, interns will have the opportunity to provide valuable support to an Iridium department on a project or important work assignment. Interns will also be provided an opportunity to engage with senior leadership and fellow interns via regular engagement activities. Interns will participate in an end of internship presentation, where we ask them to reflect on their summer internships and present a summary of what they have learned and accomplished.What We’re Looking For:This internship will involve collaboration with program management business users to gather requirements and develop Power BI content to deliver KPIs against program data. You will have the unique opportunity to work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teams to create value-added reporting that will drive business decisions. At the end of your internship you will prepare and present the results of your efforts to senior leadership.What You’ll Do:

  • Translate business insight requirements into clear visuals consistent with existing reports
  • Develop and publish new and update existing Power BI semantic models or reports
  • Create and update design documentation for semantic models or reports
  • Take ownership of assigned deliverables, coordinate and schedule content reviews, escalate watch items and blockers
  • Present deliverables to stakeholders

Skills You’ll Obtain:

  • Real-world experience in chosen field of interest and related topics through multiple hands-on projects
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Applied data analytics experience by visualizing insights from data sets for R&D, Development and Sustainment budgets and schedules
  • Ownership of Power BI content deliverables from concept to production
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and knowing when to escalate for support
  • How to work in a collaborative content development environment
  • Organization and time management skills, including multi-tasking and prioritization

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Intermediate SQL query creation
  • Basic Power Query M language
  • Basic Power BI DAX and Visualization
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Desire to learn and willingness to be trained

Experience & Education Requirements / EEOThings You Must Bring to the Table:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelors or graduate degree program at an accredited academic institution
  • Data Analytics/Data Science/Business Intelligence/Computer Science or related field preferred
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Data Analytics or Data Science certifications
  • Must be able to work in person
