About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and talented Computer Science student to join our team as an intern. In this exciting position, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI/ML enabled applications in the fleet space, utilizing data from fuel transactions and telematics. You will gain valuable hands-on experience creating real-world applications that make a difference. You will partner with multiple team members, collaborate with different departments, focus on specific projects, which you will support and even lead. Our guidance and education throughout this journey will help build your confidence, expand your professional experiences and help improve your leadership skills. Our Program runs for approximately 13 weeks from the end of May to mid-August. If you perform well and align with our values, you might have the chance to kickstart your career with us.How You’ll Make an ImpactCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop prototypes for AI/ML enabled applications in the fleet spaceAnalyze and process large datasets, including fuel transactions and telematics dataLeverage machine learning techniques such as classification and regression to develop predictive modelsImplement algorithms using Python, OpenAI, LangChain, and DataikuContribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of innovative AI/ML solutionsParticipate in team meetings and present your work to stakeholdersExperience You’ll BringCurrently enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related fieldYou will be a rising Junior or Senior as of May 2025Strong programming skills, with proficiency in PythonExperience with AI/ML frameworks, such as OpenAI and LangChainFamiliarity with data processing and analysis tools, such as DataikuKnowledge of machine learning techniques, including classification and regressionStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quicklyExcellent communication and teamwork skillsDemonstrated interest in the fleet industry and AI/ML applicationsPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience working with telematics or fuel transaction dataKnowledge of advanced machine learning techniques and deep learning frameworksExperience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Google CloudFamiliarity with Agile development methodologiesThe base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX’s total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
