Job DescriptionResponsible for ongoing development, management, sustainment, and monitoring of the of the Blue Cross NC Apprenticeship Program, with a primary focus of recruiting and supporting young adults who were formerly in foster care so that they successfully complete this federally recognized apprenticeship. Provide daily program oversight and support of 5-15 apprentices working in various professional environments, while proactively supporting their vocational, educational, psychosocial, and tangible needs. Responsible for maintenance of federal and state program accreditation; program budgeting and monitoring; procurement of contracts to support program and apprentice needs; expansion of the current array of apprentice types; regular communication with and support of apprentices, workplace managers, care managers, and community-based organization; orienting staff and apprentices to the program; small event planning; program monitoring and evaluation; and others.Engage and support workplace managers (journey workers), subject matter experts, stakeholders, community-based partners, and Blue Cross NC apprentices in ongoing program development, implementation, sustainment, and monitoring.Maintain full state and federal accreditation of the Blue Cross NC Apprenticeship Program, across all apprentice roles, serving as the primary point of contact for the State Apprenticeship Agency.Expand the array of apprentice position types/roles, while securing federal, state, and other relevant accreditation.Establish and manage relevant vendor contracts.Facilitate determination of required deliverables and validation of ROI.Establish processes to continually monitor program progress, including development of relevant metrics and program reporting tools. Monitor, evaluate, and report program implementation and outcomes, exploring any variance in targeted and actual deliverables and outcomes.Recruit, hire, onboard, support, and manage an annual apprenticeship Class of an estimated 3-5 apprentices who will remain with the program for 1-3 years on average.​In-state travel required to visit apprentice workplaces on a weekly basis (Charlotte and Raleigh, with eventual expansion to other locations); overnight stays may be expected on occasion to accommodate remote workplace visits.*MUST RESIDE IN NORTH CAROLINAHiring RequirementsBachelor’s degree or advanced degree (where required)8+ years of experience in related field.In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field.What We LikeComfortable supporting apprentices who may have experienced significant psychological trauma and may still be coping with the aftermath.Ability to maintain professional boundaries while supporting the vocational, educational, psychosocial, and tangible needs of apprentices.Ability to support a trauma-informed workplace for the benefit of all apprentices, workplace managers, employees, and customers.Willingness to travel and ability to be flexible when needed.Salary Range$91,100.00 – $164,000.00
