Our strength comes from our global footprint and enormous portfolio of advanced industrial sensors, measurement technologies, factory automation, simulation, and analytics tools.We are seeking a Front-End Development Intern who is familiar with design systems, and eager to contribute to the growth and enhancement of our organization’s design system. You will work with React, Material UI, and TypeScript to develop reusable components while supporting automation efforts to streamline developer workflows. As part of a fully remote team, you will need to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective time management, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and learn from industry professionals.Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and enhancement of reusable components within the organization’s design system.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers and developers to ensure components meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Support the automation of tasks for developers using the design system, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fully remote setting to ensure design system integration across various projects.
- Contribute to the documentation of the design system, ensuring that components and their usage are well-documented for easy access by developers.
- Explore and incorporate generative AI capabilities into the design system to drive innovation and improvements.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with design systems and an understanding of their importance in front-end development.
- Basic to intermediate experience with React and Material UI, and a good grasp of TypeScript.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
- Ability to manage your time effectively in a fully remote environment and work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for learning new technologies and staying updated with the latest trends in front-end development and design systems.
