Qualified Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.What You’ll Be Doing (responsibilities)Install, configure, and monitor SQL server databases in a 24X7 enterprise hybrid cloud environment.Support mission-critical SQL databases with advanced troubleshooting skills for performance and tuning.Develop, implement, and administer data security, Data retention and integrity policies and procedures.Implement and monitor backup processes and procedures and ensure point-in-time recoverability of the environment.Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes, for efficiency and cost optimization.Creates, maintains, and documents processes for managing production database systems.Should be able to keep him/herself up to date with the latest technology trends.Hands-on experience in supporting and implementing Always-on SQL deployment.Apply SQL Server patches on regular cycles and regarding environment restrictions and maintenance windows.Performs capacity planning including future storage requirements.NoSQL database knowledge will be an added advantage.What you need (requirements)Pursuing Bachelors in Computer Science or similar discipline.Experience with some (but not necessarily all):AWS (Azure a plus)SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQLSQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, Couchbase, RedShiftSentryOne , Datadog, CloudWatchJenkins, DACPACs, Redgate toolsBitbucket, GitHub, SVNPowerShell, Bash, Python (C# or GO a plus)Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, SAMMulti-Cloud experience will be preferred.Experience with SQL Clustering and Availability Groups and database replication.Experience with monitoring and provisioning SQL Server in AWS/Azure.Ability to automate redundant tasks using scripts, jobs, and other technologies.Strong communication, partnership, teamwork and influencing skills required.Experience with source control, with database engineering background.Drug Free Workplace:Brightly maintains a Drug Free workplace in accordance with applicable law.The Brightly cultureService.
