However due to our pay practices, qualified candidates MUST reside within one of the following states: AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, KY, ME, MI, MT, NC, NM, NV, OH, OR, TN, TX, UT, WA. While candidates need to live or relocate to one of the aforementioned states, working remotely will require reliable broadband internet and personal cell phone service. Remote work may include working day-to-day operations during Pacific Standard business hours or online training.Who We AreThrough the careful review of medical records and engagement with physicians, HIM coders, case managers and other healthcare team members, our Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) team facilitates improvement in the overall quality, completeness, and accuracy of medical record documentation.Our CDI team promotes appropriate clinical documentation at the point of care to accurately reflect the patient’s severity of illness, working diagnosis and clinical course of patient’s hospitalization. As a CDI function, we often educate documentation guidelines to ensure our healthcare teams are upholding our documentation guidelines.Who You Are

What You Must HaveEducation
- BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or higher), or related healthcare field, preferred.
- Completion of ACDIS CDI apprentice program, preferred.
Experience
- 2 years’ experience in clinical practice areas such as acute care hospital, physician clinics, quality, case management, performance improvement, or informatics required.
- Experience in the healthcare revenue cycle, denials management, auditing, or case management preferred.
License/Certification
- RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start – OR – FMG: Foreign Medical Graduate with MBBS or equivalent degree
- Must obtain Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist – Outpatient (CCDS-O) through the Association for Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists (ACDIS) within 2 years of hire date
Preferred Certifications
- CCA: Certified Coding Associate (AHIMA)
- CCS: Certified Coding Specialist (AHIMA)
- RHIA: Registered Health Information Administer (AHIMA)
- CDIP: Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (AHIMA)
- CRC: Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (AAPC)
