Overview::HGA has an exciting internship opportunity for a student who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a national interdisciplinary design firm. As an HGA intern, you’ll see textbook and classroom learning come alive across disciplines and projects. You’ll learn the specifics of your profession while also learning about collaboration, and why the culture of a company matters so much. You’ll find mentors. You’ll find friends. You’ll have fun. Most importantly, you’ll leave with new skills, networking connections, and actual experience to discuss with prospective employers which very well might be us.This paid summer internship is typically 10 – 12 weeks in length beginning on or before June 2, 2025 through mid-August (depending on your schedule). In this role you will::
- Assist the IT Support team in handling helpdesk requests and inquiries.
- Assist with asset inventory tracking and management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Image and distribute necessary laptops/desktops to new hires and other employees as needed.
- Collaborate with the IT team to document and update standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, and other support resources.
- Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades, network improvements, and software deployments.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to all users.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends and best practices.
- Learn about various IT concepts, tools, and technologies.
- Set up and configuring new hardware and software.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure their IT needs are met.
You will need to have::
- At least a college sophomore standing pursuing an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of IT principles, including hardware, software, networking, and security.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to quality and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Ability to work as a team player
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule (both in person in the Minneapolis office and remote)
- Knowledge of AEC software such as Revit is a plus.
Salary Information::The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $22.00/hour
