Read more: .Position SummaryThe Cell Therapy Drug Product function of the MSAT is seeking an intern to serve as a technical support for cell culture and harvest activities related to the production of CART products at the New Jersey MSAT Laboratory. This position is highly cross-functional, building collaborations with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Sciences and Technology, Process Development, Analytical, and Global Regulatory Sciences. This role will report to a Senior Engineer withing the MSAT Lab group.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in Design of Experiments (DoE) and execute experiments related to cell culture, cell harvest, and media analysis using full-scale or scale-down modelsCollect, analyze, and interpret data related to executed experimentsWork aseptically in a biosafety cabinetAssist in preparation of protocol studies and reports to support GMP manufacturing activitiesEmbody the BMS behaviors and embrace the culture with BMS and the Cell Therapy Technical Operations OrganizationQualifications & ExperienceMust be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM field (e.g. chemical engineering, biology, or equivalent)Practical knowledge of the technologies related to cell culture and bioprocess engineeringInterest in hands on laboratory work and experience in working in a biologic lab settingInterest in assessing scientific technologies and their applications in the Cell Therapy industryOrganizes and presents data for internal and external groupsEffectiveness in both team environments and as an individual contributor with supervisionAll candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire.
