Overview:GitHub is seeking an Intern to support on critical projects spanning communications, operations, and strategic initiatives. Working with a dynamic team, we’re looking for a motivated, curious, and flexible individual to contribute to our success. If you’re looking for an internship where you’ll work closely with executive leaders, gain exposure to high-level strategic planning, and make a tangible impact in shaping the future of software, we’d love to hear from you!Over the course of this internship, you will work on substantial but defined and time-bounded projects that enable GitHub to operate at scale. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-impact role, collaborate with senior leaders, and contribute to GitHub’s vision and success. Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute special projects that are urgent and important to GitHub.
- Assist in tracking priorities and follow-ups to ensure alignment and progress across the organization.
- Act as a liaison between the and other teams, ensuring smooth communication and information flow for high-priority deliverables.
- Shadow cross-team counterparts to learn about key business events, fiscal year planning, budget planning, running business reviews, and other strategic business activities.
- Support the development of performance metrics and content for internal communication, customer meetings, and offsites.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of the rhythm of business activities, including leadership team meetings, offsites, and high-impact events.
- Conduct internal research and synthesize insights to support decision-making on strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
- Currently in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree with at least one quarter/semester to complete after the internship.
- Track record of executing with a “ship to learn” mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks with competing timelines and deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of GitHub and/or the software development space. (Coding skills not required!)
- Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn from our experienced and awesome team, while contributing to some big programs and embracing the Hubber experience.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges and learn from experiences during the internship.
Compensation Range: The base salary range for this job is USD $33.36 – USD $47.68 /Hr.These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual’s base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
