Job DescriptionJob Title: Front End Developer InternJob Location: 17725 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77094We are preparing for our 2025 Summer Internship Season!This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.Job Overview:Our team is seeking a motivated Frontend Developer Intern for both Web and Mobile to join our team. In this role, you will assist in translating and adapting React.js code from existing web applications into a mobile platform using React Native. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about mobile app development to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative and dynamic environment as well as growing their skills in web development.Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior developers to analyze and adapt existing React.js web app components for React Native.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Test and debug mobile application features to ensure optimal performance across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Contribute to UI/UX improvements by ensuring mobile-friendly design and responsiveness.
  • Document the translation process, including code changes and challenges faced, to assist the broader development team.
  • Apply industry standards for React Native development and mobile app deployment.
  • Work with APIs and state management tools like Redux.
  • Adapting web app components to mobile-friendly designs and layouts.

QualificationsEducation & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with JavaScript and React.js is required.
  • Experience with mobile app development; familiarity with React Native.
  • Knowledge of Redux Toolkit or other state management libraries.
  • Basic understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, error handling skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Previous experience with web frontend development
  • Previous experience with mobile application development
  • Experience with development IDE’s such as Webstorm, Xcode, Android Studio
  • Understanding of RESTful API’s and state management

AccountabilitiesAccountable to the Brand, including the Franchisees, Technology Solutions team, Home Office team, Leadership team, and ultimately the company President. The Frontend Development Intern will report directly to the Software Engineer.Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Workplace Environment:

  • This role will be located at the Home Office headquarters in Houston, TX.

  • Open office layout to promote collaboration, conversation, and teamwork.
  • This role will require three days in the office, and allows two remote days.
  • Travel is not typical
