Position Summary:The IT/CE Internship program at Orlando Health (OH) offers the opportunity for individuals with an interest in Information Technology and/or Clinical Engineering (BioMed) to gain hands-on experience in an exciting health IT environment, through a structured 10-12 week program.All selected program participants will be oriented to the culture, policies and procedures.
Participants will attend classes and receive ongoing mentoring in their areas of specialization
and the different essential functions of healthcare IT/CE operations. There may also be
opportunities for shadowing senior leaders. Responsibilities:This program is well suited for motivated individuals who are seeking careers in

As an intern, you should have:
- A passion for the healthcare industry
- The ability to stay task oriented and operate with supervision on assigned task
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels
of Orlando Health team members
- The ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health
policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- The ability to maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
- The flexibility to perform other duties as assigned
Program Committment:
- Ten – Twelve consecutive weeks
- Be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week between M-F, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Be able to work in hybrid working environment (remote and on-site).
Program Details:
- Paid Internship (bi-weekly)
- All interns will be paid a rate of $17.00/hr
- No benefits will be offered with this internhip
- Consideration for matriculation to an entry level position in area of specialization or
organizational need, upon successful completion of the programQualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Earned Associates degree or current college Junior with at least 64 credits
- Completed at least 9 credit hours in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science,
Database, Operating Systems, Programming/Development and/or IT Security
