We look forward to hearing from you!Summary, Focus and PurposeUnder the supervision of the Maintenance and Utilities Supervisor and direction of the maintenance Team Leader, the Electricians assemble, install, tests, and maintain electrical equipment. Electricians will conduct maintenance on any equipment or facilities which their skills support in a compliant quality manner. Electricians are part of the I/E Technician work group and will primarily share work assignments within their job grouping with no inherent or “system imposed” limits.Based on business needs, I/E Technicians will complete maintenance activities including crossing between job groupings where skills are common. Work assignments, buildings, and equipment are not exclusive to any craft, job grouping, or employee. Position may include some responsibility for maintaining significant business systems (e.g., CMMS data, planning, procurement, and scheduling) including the authority to assign, coordinate, and maintain work for others.Equipment | MachineryGeneral tools common to the electrical trade, such as small hand tools, pipe cutting, threading and bending tools, pole line tools, soldering equipment and testing apparatus | Person lifts or the operation of a bucket truckKey FunctionsWorking from drawings, blueprints, schematics, CMMS driven work orders, or other instruction | Reference manufacturer’s equipment manualsAssembles, installs, disconnects, and tests electrical equipment, motors, generators, control equipment and electronic componentsMeasures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs conduit (EMT, IMC, Rigid, PVC coated, Aluminum, PVC, Flex Conduit, etc.) to various outlets, equipment and panelsInstalls, maintains, tests, and repairs: lights, lighting controls, alarms, public address, power distribution systems and data processing systems, etc.Performs any kind of necessary electrical construction workTroubleshoots, locates and remedies trouble on any circuit by conducting electrical testing procedures | Completes load surveys and necessary test | Takes appropriate corrective actionsMaintains and services all electrical equipmentMay work on energized, equipment (when necessary) using OSHA approved safety equipment and guidelinesWorks with voltage and current of any level, AC or DCCompletes all work with guidelines of Company and NECDevelops and performs on job modifications of electrical equipmentEstimate and layout jobs and list bill of materials for job, orderAttend and actively participates in HAZOPS, waste walkthroughs, Kaizen events, or any other operations, lean six-sigma, quality, safety or environmental training/initiativesPrepares and assists technicians, supervisors and planners in preparing labor and material estimatesAssists supervision with the assigning, scheduling and prioritization of work order requests using maintenance management systemsMakes recommendations and prepares orders for spare parts, additional stock room items, tools, etc.Consults with Supervision and other mechanics on problem resolution/troubleshooting. Keeps Supervision informed of problem issuesWrite, execute, and complete safety permitsAnnual field verification for EL qualificationsEducationRequired | High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) and Graduation from a recognized/accredited electrician trade school, community college, or equivalent programs with at least 576 classroom hours or Completion of a formal electrician apprentice program that is approved by the United States Department of Labor or equivalent or Verified Military training equivalent to a recognized/accredited trade school program or journeyman apprenticeship programPreferred | Course(s) in electronicsExperience | Skills | KnowledgeRequiredThree years of recent full-time experience in the last seven years as an electrician with heavy industrial applications, verified or Completion of four years of on-the-job part training as part of a formal electrician apprentice program or Three years recent (within the last seven years) full-time military experience as an electricianRead blueprints, drawings, schematics, line diagrams, etc.Analyze electrical maintenance problems, troubleshoot, and take appropriate corrective measurePreferredExtensive experience with automatic and automated packaging equipment in the drug or food processing industriesOur Manufacturing & Supply Division is dedicated to being the most trusted supplier of biopharmaceuticals worldwide.
