Business Development Research Intern, Part-Time (Columbia, MD; Remote)

Summary:The successful candidate will use a variety of federally focused research systems and databases (e.g., GovWin) to skillfully identify relevant opportunities in support of our businesses development efforts. In this role, the candidate will work alongside the government business development team to hone queries and gather appropriate data to support procurement and proposal efforts.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Familiarize yourself with Edwards core solution areas in order to gather, organize, and maintain accurate data to identify prudent opportunities aligned with our capabilities
• Perform market research and collect competitor and/or partner corporate information (e.g., leadership/organization charts, activities/current contracts)
• Monitor deadlines and communicate timelines ensuring proposal process progression
• Identify market analysis/trends, develop competitor assessments, and detailed research into customer mission and strategy
• Set-up customer profiles or opportunities leveraging CRM tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint)
• Prepare/present retrieved data into an opportunity analysis leveraging tools (e.g., MS Office, PowerPoint)

Key Qualifications:

• Technical proficiency with internet research and MS Office products
• Must be meticulous, analytical with proven ability to organize data
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Work Structure:

• The expectation will be to work @16 hours per week, remotely, but you may be asked to join occasional onsite meetings
