TITLE: Lead EngineerDuties: Coordinate priorities and the development of electrical system components/modules with a variety of functions and connections within a defined development section (e.g. from the beginning of a research object up to handover to industrialization) and define interfaces. Support development project management activities (e.g. timeline and customer management) to ensure development project timing, cost and quality. Draw up and evaluate design solutions, and coordinate them with internal/external project stakeholders. Define, coordinate and if necessary modify the technical requirements for components/modules (e.g. regarding function, installation, etc.). Technical steering and management of assigned project resources (e.g. design project team). Check and provide input for project schedules and budgets. Assure compliance with stated development goals and implement corrective actions (if necessary). Control and release of development deliverables (e.g. drawings, BOM, etc.) and assure creation of documentation. Technical support for purchasing department in evaluating and selecting suppliers. This position requires 10% domestic travel and 5% international travel. Remote work is permitted, up to 40% of the time, within a reasonable commuting distance of the Mountain View, CA office.SALARY: $128,690-$129,690/yearLOCATION: DAA Draexlmaier Automotive of America LLC, 1916 Old Middlefield Way, Mountain View, CA 94043REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field of study and two (2) years of experience as a Project Management Student Apprentice, Change Management Engineer, Design Engineer or related role where required experience gained.SPECIAL SKILLS: Also requires experience in the following:

  • Two (2) years of EASI Portal experience;
  • Two (2) years of ENCORE (Engineering Correction and Optimization Request);
  • Two (2) years of ADONIS experience;
  • Two (2) years of Production Processes;
  • Two (2) years of KDB (Component Database);
  • Two (2) years of automotive circuitry;
  • Two (2) years of Electrical System Development;
  • Two (2) years of EDS Development Process;
  • Two (2) years of HostGui experience;
  • One (1) year of CAD Tool experience (e.g. CATIA); and
  • One (1) year of Project Management.
