SEO Intern

SEO InternHaymarket Media, Inc. is seeking an SEO Intern to join the Marketing team. This position is located in our NYC office, with three days on-site (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a team flex day) and two days remote.Job Overview:The SEO intern will assist the SEO team with on- and off-page strategies, content creation, and updating existing content across our 20+ brands. This position will also learn how the SEO team collaborates with the social media and email teams and the editorial team and art department when creating campaigns. SEO best practices, audits, keyword research, backlinking, identifying content gaps, and reporting will also be taught through numerous tools our team uses.Responsibilities:Identify new content ideas through keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gapsUpdate existing content to ensure content follows SEO best practicesRun site audits and resolve errors and warnings impacting organic searchManage a cross-department content campaignLearn basic SEO strategies and tools that will assist with daily tasksQualifications include:Marketing major/experience a plusSEO knowledge or experience is preferred but not requiredExperience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, WordPress preferred but not requiredExperience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Suite preferred (emphasis on Sheets/Excel)Enjoys collaborationAbility to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneouslySpecial Instructions:Cover letter requiredWhat We Offer:Location: New York, NYSalary: $16.50/hr.Start Date/ Duration: June 16, 2025 to August 15, 2025 (9 weeks)Schedule: 32 hours a week; Hybrid; Summer FridaysAbout Haymarket:Haymarket has its heart and soul in publishing and media.
